October, 31, 1992. Kipling, Saskatchewan. A 23 year old single mother named Candice, leaves work after a confrontation with her ex-boyfriend. As her anxiety was at its peak, she sought out a friend who worked at the local hospital, but she wasn't at work. A nurse suggested that she speak with the doctor. Dr. John Schneeberger was known to Candice and had helped to deliver her daughter just months before. He offered to give her something to calm her down and she accepted. but what the doctor injected her with was no sedative and what happened next would ultimately pit an unpopular young woman against the town's beloved doctor in a trial that seemed straight out of a movie.
