A 33-year-old Florida man has been arrested following the discovery of a body in a Key Largo, Florida hotel on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

The bruised and beaten body of missing woman, Nadyne Marie Tillman, 43, was found concealed underneath a water heater in the closet of a room at the Amoray Dive Resort in Key Largo. The room had been rented out to a family who had been staying there, unaware that Tillman’s body was in the closet.

Detectives quickly arrived at the scene where they found the decedent curled up in the closet. She was in a state of undress, naked from the waist down, wearing only a red shirt.

They were soon able to identify her as a recently reported missing person in the area, Nadyne Marie Tillman.

Tillman’s family had reported her missing after not hearing from her for a couple of days, which was out of character for her.

A male friend of the victim had also reached out to one of Tillman's daughters over Facebook messenger, where he expressed concern that he had not heard from her.

According to the friend, Tillman had told him she was meeting a man at a hotel for a date, which the friend described as "a hookup."

On April 5, 2025, at 8:57am, the friend said he received a final message from Tillman in which she wrote: "I'm in," in reference to an earlier text where she said she had knocked on the hotel door but her "date" had not yet answered.

When police initially showed up to the hotel, they were quickly approached by the General Manager who wanted to relay some suspicious behavior they had witnessed from a guest named Dylan Lamb.

The manager told officers that they attempted to move Lamb to another room on Saturday, however, Lamb refused and insisted on staying in the room he was already in. He did not open the door once during the entire conversation, instead speaking through the locked door.

He insisted on staying in the room for one more night, which he did, before moving to a newly assigned room the next day.

Armed with a name, police were able to track the suspect down to his place of work, Florida Bay Outfitters, a Canoe & kayak store just a five-minute walk from the Amoray Dive Resort, where he was apprehended.

Dylan Lamb, a Key Largo kayak tour guide, was charged with murder in the death of Nadyne Marie Tillman, 43, as well as kidnapping, false imprisonment, procuring another for prostitution, and destruction of evidence.

Following Lamb's arrest, Police found he was in possession of the victim's credit card.

It was also revealed the suspect was on probation for his involvement in a prior grand theft auto charge.

Communication between Lamb and Tillman on Lamb’s device showed the two planned to meet.  Tillman’s Chevrolet SUV had also been parked in the hotel parking lot for a couple of days with no movement.

When questioned by police about his connection to the victim, Lamb claimed that he met her through a website for an escort service.

He told police that once he and Tillman were in the hotel room together, he handed over $200.

Lamb said since he and Tillman did not engage in the sexual activities they had allegedly agreed to, he blocked her from exiting the room when she tried to leave.

He said he struck her once in the face after she began hitting him in an attempt to escape.

According to Lamb, the victim fell to the floor and struck her head.

He told police he went into the bathroom to “calm down,” and when he returned the victim did not show any signs of life. He did not call emergency services because he panicked, he said.

He then took the towels and sheets from the hotel room to clean up and conceal the victim’s body, which he then moved to the closet.

Lamb left the linens behind in the room, which a cleaner later found after he left.

The soiled and bloodied towels and sheets had been stuffed into plastic trash bags, which the cleaner found and promptly threw away in the hotel dumpster without reporting it to management.

The dumpster was emptied and the evidence disposed of and unable to be retrieved.

Although Lamb claimed he hit the victim once, reports state that she had swollen lips with lacerations, two black eyes, and other indications of blunt trauma to the face.

It appeared as though she had been beaten to death.

A local witness, Ka Thigpen, who saw Lamb at the hotel told NBC Miami she had witnessed the suspect going in and out of his room.

Thigpen's mother was staying at the hotel as she was in town for a wedding.

The witness added that Tillman's daughter had tracked her mother’s phone to the hotel and had been knocking on every door looking for her: "We just saw like frequently throughout the last few days, like the gentleman in and out, and her poor daughter came around looking and knocking on everyone's door," said Thigpen.

Lamb is being held in Monroe County jail on a $250,000 bond.

Arraignment is scheduled for 13 May 2025.
