41-year-old Alison Gregory was reported missing on May 14, 2025, after failing to pick up her mother at the airport. She and her husband, Brandon Gregory, 56, had been having difficulties in their marriage and were in the process of getting divorced.
When police searched the couple's home, on the Loop 303 and Peoria Avenue, in surprise, Arizona, they found a small drop of blood in the hallway- evidence indicative that a struggle had taken place within the residence.
They suspected Mr. Gregory may have been involved in her disappearance.
On May 23, 2025, Alison's car, a Subaru Ascent, was discovered at the Burro Creek Campground in Wikieup, Mohave County; near State Route 93 between Wikieup and Nothing, Arizona, over 100 miles from her home.
Mr. Gregory was sitting inside the vehicle, and according to media outlets, allegedly confessed to killing his wife during a verbal and physical altercation in their home.
Alison Gregory's body was found in the back seat of the car.
His pickup truck had been located near Prasada Parkway and Waddell Road, in a parking lot around two miles from their home, earlier in the search.
The Ram 1500 pickup contained luggage as well as a foreboding note. The note was addressed to their daughters, asking for their forgiveness.
Court documents state that the couple were in the process of selling their home. Gregory allegedly told police that he and his wife had gotten into a verbal altercation that turned physical when Alison asked him to leave the home.
Brendon Gregory's timeline of events, as per court documents, state that Alison, whom he said was holding a baseball bat, had kicked him in the groin. He said he wrestled the bat from her hands, which caused her to run off screaming in fear. He allegedly confessed to beating her to death.
Mr. Gregory said he attempted to give the victim CPR; however, she did not respond. Documents state that he rolled the victim up in a carpet, before dragging and loading the body into the car. He then scrubbed the blood from the walls of the home and put the cleaning supplies in the Subaru.
He got into his pickup and drove it to a nearby parking lot, before taking an uber back home.
He then started up the Subaru, and disposed of trackable devices belonging to the victim in Wickenburg, such as her Apple watch and cell phone.
When he finally made it to the campground, he went out into a field to dispose of the murder weapon.
Later, standing motionless at a podium during an initial court hearing, shackled and dressed in orange prison clothing, Mr. Gregory listened to the charges as well as the statements from friends and family.
Alison Gregory‘s brother would later say in court that he had been trying to convince Alison to break up with her husband for several months. He accused Brandon of lying and manipulating his way back into the victim's life, calling him a "manipulator" and "murderer," and a compulsive liar.
“The guy’s entire life has been a lie,” he said.
“We ask the court to please have denied bail because he took her life just as she was about to divorce him and start a fresh chapter,” Alison Gregory‘s sister said.
The victim's mother agreed that Alison struggled to leave Brandon, saying: "Alison struggled so hard to get away from him," "she was so close to it. He took her away from us."
She added: "He is such a coward. If he wanted to kill somebody, why didn't he kill himself?"
Addressing the subject directly she said: "Brandon, I hate you forever. I hope you never, ever, ever get out of prison."
In a statement in court, Alison's sister described how devastated she was by Brandon Gregory's actions. "He left two children motherless. He stole a beloved sister from three siblings and a daughter from loving parents. Our family is horrified by these actions and broken. We are completely devastated," she said. She went on to describe how surviving family members were scared and horrified and “would never be the same.” Accusing him of taking the victims life before she had the chance to start over again without him.
The suspects cash-only bond is set at $2 million.
At the time of writing, $61,722 of a $70,000 goal has been raised via a GoFundMe for the victim’s daughters, Stella and Lilly. The campaign, titled, "Rally for Stella and Lily in Tough Times," describes Alison Gregory as an integral part of the Paradise Honors Community.
Stella is about to start 8th Grade, and Lily, who is 20, is said to now be responsible for finding housing for both of them.
